Kandace Cornell is an American French girl and creator of The Chic American— an editorial platform dedicated to the art of living an elevated, French-inspired lifestyle. Born in the US, to a family of proud French heritage, she has cultivated her love of French arts, culture, and aesthetics, and has studied fashion journalism and editorial photography in Paris. Her maman is a classically trained French chef, who graduated at the top of her class at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and apprenticed at the French Ministry of Affaires, refining their shared love of French cuisine.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Kandace has spent the past ten years working in fashion and lifestyle as an editorialist for Locale Magazine, and a former style editor for NBC. She also has a Masters in Journalism and years of entertainment experience in Hollywood at Sony Pictures Studios. She is an internationally award-winning screenwriter and director, whose work has been fêted around the world in cities like London, Nice, New York, and Montréal, bolstering her position as a tastemaker and social influencer.
